Rocket Recall

We’re thrilled to invite you to Rocket Recall, a six-week course designed to transform your dog’s recall from a struggle to a joyful experience. We’ll delve into the science behind reliable recall, building a strong, positive association between coming to you and incredibly rewarding experiences.

Imagine this: your dog, ears perked, tail wagging furiously, racing towards you with unbridled enthusiasm, even when faced with the irresistible lure of squirrels, bunnies, or cats! This isn’t just a dream; it’s the goal of Rocket Recall.

Throughout the six weeks (one hour per week), we’ll employ positive reinforcement techniques, engaging games, and creative strategies to build a rock-solid recall. We’ll focus on making “come” the most exciting word in your dog’s vocabulary, building your furry friend’s desire to prioritize you above all distractions.

To build your dog’s success, this class requires basic obedience skills (sit, down, stay). Please bring your canine companion to class wearing a collar and/or harness with a 4-6 foot standard leash (no retractable leashes, please). You must also come prepared with a 15-25 foot Long Line. 

Crucial ways to help your dog be more successful:  Feed your dog 2-3 hours before class and please come prepared with a generous supply of *highly* rewarding, soft treats. Think cheese, cooked chicken, soft liver, or beef – something significantly more appealing than their usual treats, as the class environment presents higher distractions. Milk bones and biscuits are generally less effective in these situations.

Finally, bring a water bowl and a chew toy (like a Kong) to keep your pup occupied if needed to prevent barking.

We will help your dog succeed by keeping class size of no more than 4 dogs to ensure personalized attention and optimal learning for every dog-owner pair. Dogs of any age are welcome! If your dog has reactive issues towards people and/or dogs, please reach out for private training.
